Scott Holden
Scott was born and raised in the Portland area. He has five children and an amazing wife. Scott loves spending time with his family and traveling. A curious person who loves to learn, he now considers himself a much happier version – a work-in-progress.
Before MindTrek, Scott was a successful businessman with high expectations of himself. As these expectations became increasingly more difficult to meet and maintain, he became anxious, depressed, and lost sight of what was truly important. After years of coping mechanisms that led him to treat himself, his body, his friends, and his family poorly, he knew something had to give. Despite years of coping mechanisms and pharmaceuticals, he saw no clear path to the happiness he longed for.
When Scott found psychedelics, he found a path. In a therapeutic setting, he was able to see and feel the logical steps for change. In the process, he discovered love for himself, compassion and understanding for others, and a desire to be a better, more loving person. He now exercises daily (something he loathed), rarely drinks (which he loved), and is a better father and husband. What excites him the most is setting an example of how to overcome unhappiness and be at peace for his children.
Scott doesn’t know how psilocybin will find you. He is only an example of what some reading, reflecting, and thoughtful psilocybin work can accomplish. He hopes his story inspires others on the path toward happiness.
