What to Expect

The Process

At MindTrek, we want to ensure all of our clients know exactly what to expect before diving into their journey. As always, we’re here to answer any questions you may have.

Grove of the Patriarchs Forest

1. Exploratory Call

This is an opportunity to learn more about your background, intentions for a psilocybin experience, guide preference, and to answer any questions you may have.

2. Application and Eligibility Questionnaire

Filling out the one-page questionnaire as thoroughly as you can makes the process seamless. Your responses will only be seen by our staff, and once approved, you will be matched with a facilitator. From there, your facilitator will work with you to set up a preparation time that can be done at MindTrek or over Zoom.

3. Preparation

During your preparation meeting, your guide will answer any questions you have and ensure you know what to expect. They will go over the entire process with you, share their experiences, and give you detailed information on what to do leading up to the journey.

4. The Experience

In a safe environment, you’ll experience a life-changing journey through the mind with your guide present. You’ll be given the opportunity to dive deep into your subconscious and unlock truths and insights that could be beneficial in guiding your life path. The experience is different for everyone, but we ensure your safety and help you make the most out of the journey.

5. Integration

After the experience, it might be difficult to describe the feelings you felt, but those insights are important to address to ensure lasting change and help integrate back into everyday life. Your facilitator is there here to answer questions and provide resources for you as you head back out into the world.

The Setting

We are approximately 30 minutes from the Portland International Airport in a beautiful 1920s historical home with cozy, appointed private rooms. The vibe is like being at home.

Your session will take place in a private room furnished to feel like a home, equipped with cozy beds, clean sheets, comfortable chairs, blankets, darkening curtains, eye shades, music, and aromatherapy. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

Planning Your Trip

Here’s how to get ready for your psilocybin therapy in Portland, Oregon.

We recommend taking a few days before and a few days after your session to relax and spend time with your thoughts. That said, many folks fly in the day before and fly out the day after with no issues.

How to Prepare (Day Before)

On the day before your journey, we recommend self-care: a walk in the woods, yoga, breathwork, or just quiet contemplative time writing in a journal.

What to Bring (Day Of)

On the day of your trip, we suggest wearing comfortable clothes and fasting or eating a light breakfast. Feel free to bring a favorite snack and water bottle. We also have a selection of items to choose from.
